The 20th International Symposium on Computers in Education (SIIE) was organized in Jerez de la Frontera (Instituto para el Desarrollo Social Sostenible, University of Cadiz), Spain, from 19th to 21st September 2018. The IEEE Education Society (through its Spanish Chapter) has technically co-sponsored this international forum, where research, development and practices in the field of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Education were presented. SIIE has become a reference, particularly in the Latin-American context, bringing researchers, developers, institutional representatives and teachers together to share views, knowledge and experiences about computing in education. This year, more than 40 academics and professionals presented their works during the conference. Keynote speakers were Mikhail Fominykh, researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, and Carlos González-Morcillo, Academic Director at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. The program additionally included the presentation of the SCIE/CODDI (Conferencia de Directores y Decanos de Ingeniería Informática) report about Informatics Education in Primary and Secondary Education, coordinated by J. Ángel Velázquez, president of the Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Informática Educativa (ADIE), sponsor of SIIE since its first edition.
